Since February 2018 I have worked as Portfolio Senior Project Manager at Baxter AB in Lund, Sweden. Baxter AB is producing hemodialysis equipment, water processing equipment, plastic consumables and fluids. I was given the task to manage the portfolio of Sustaining and Maintenance Projects for the Lund facility.

In this role I have optimized the project portfolio and created a “Dashboard Overview” in SharePoint based on different Excel databases, for easy prioritizing and management.
Also, I have acted as daily manager for the project managers handling the projects.

Responsibility and tasks:
• Responsible for managing programs and projects worldwide and securing scope and quality within budgets and time. Program Management includes direction of Project Managers and up to 50-100 team members involved.
• Securing coherence between programs and company R&D roadmap.
• Securing direction and progress in projects and programs.
• Reporting and stakeholder management towards top-management, piers and organization, -worldwide.

Results:
• I have successfully managed development, -and launch of several hearing instruments under both the ReSound, Interton and Danavox brands to markets worldwide. These programs included scoping, SW/HW development, production set-up, testing, clinical trials, ramping-up, homologation plus launching in cooperation with Marketing.
• One program launching the very successful and design prize winning Mini Microphone . This product turned out to be a great success generated a doubling of expected revenue within the first year.
• As a natural extension of my position I have been involved in numerous change- and optimization- projects to internal processes and workflows to secure compliance to new legislation (e.g. ISO 13485, FDA etc.) and to simplify the product development process.
• I have successfully managed a program that has implemented new software into the whole range of existing accessories enabling compliance to latest EU standardization for medical devices (ETSI EN 300 328 v.2.1.1) and thus secured continued access to the EU market.

Responsibility and tasks:
• Managing projects and programs mainly supporting specific regional areas or key customers.
• Securing coherence between deliveries from all skill groups in the organization to facilitate the program.
• Reporting and stakeholder management towards top-management, piers and organization

Results:
• In this period, I managed development and launched several hearing instruments under both the ReSound, Interton and Danavox brands. Specifically, I managed the program delivering the tender bid for Costco/Kirkland Signature the world’s largest wholesale chain.
• As a natural extension of the position I have been involved in numerous changes and optimizations to internal processes and workflows.
• I set-up processes and documentation to have the “Danavox” brand approved as “Legal Manufacturer” for medical devices and I was deeply involved in the set-up of a company “New Product Development” (NPD) process.
