  • Solid knowledge of ISM code (international standard for the safe operation of ships and for pollution prevention) as a part of the SOLAS Convention (Safety of life at sea & MARPOL).
  • Solid understanding of the role, workings and requirements of a classification society (Germanischer Lloyd - Det Norske Veritas / DNV GL, Bureau Veritas )
  • Experience in Port State Control / PSC inspections ( US Coast Guard , China, Norway, Australia, etc.)
  • Implement on board of QHSE company policy.
  • Solid knowledge and skills in providing technical guidance in the operation, maintenance and repair of Main Engine, Auxiliary Engines, HVAC Equipment, Air Compressors, Water Production Equipment , Sewage Treatment and MARPOL Equipment, Purifiers, Steam and Thermal Oil Boilers, Pumps, Steering Gear, Deck machinery.
  • Fully conversant in operational and management level, ensure compliance of Critical Job Procedures, Risk Assessment, Safe Work Practices and Permit To Work System.
  • Accurate and responsible working with safety and quality management system.
  • Very efficiently in carrying out Inspections, Tests and Surveys for various machineries on board.
  • Reliable in determining the effectiveness of machinery and equipment in view of performance and safety standards.
