Delivery Operation Manager

Development and implementation of a parallel Delivery Channel Business with the Cash & Carry business, which takes full advantage of
Metro offer and logistic strengths, while the net benefits for the company are enhanced: customers, sales and profits. In this €3M-a-year
business, I managed delivery department operations, security and audit, (32 stores), leading a total of 450 employees. I also served as
member of the management accountability for operational strategy. Upon moving into this role, I was challenged to drive revenue and
profit growth by reinstating a strong customer focus during a challenging market downturn. The economic issues were compounded by the
constant erosion of the traditional trade market, fierce competition and on-going price wars. My transformation strategy included instilling
a culture of accountability and entrepreneurship while also ensuring a strong focus on customer service (where we reduced costs while
improving the customer experience). I also sought out new business opportunities, began to revamp the existing business model to address
market realities, and served as a member of several key business development steering committees. Results included: Creating a new
delivery business that attained number one market share in just 4 years, reducing FTEs significantly while improving service levels and
