Head of BI as-a-Service

Our products and services are delivered to more than 50 financial companies in Denmark, including Nykredit, Spar Nord, AL, SEB, Handelsbanken and Vestjyskbank.

Responsibilities
  • 25+ Full time employees, divided into two teams, distributed between Denmark and Poland.
  • A total budget of 26+ million DKK divided between cost of labor and licenses

  • Accomplishments
  • Created a BI center in Warsaw. It was created on time and within 8 months containing 25+ polish BI consultants. It works as a foundation for my own and others use of polish BI consultants at BEC.
  • Onboarding and integration of employees in cross boarder teams
  • Insourced 40+ business intelligence resources, as part of meeting my own demand and as a mean of successfully implementing the BEC strategy of transitioning from centralized to decentralized BI development at BEC.
  • Responsible for 2+ teams divided between permanent employees in Denmark and consultants in Denmark and Poland. I have achieved an overall engagement score of 8.2 which is 0.7 above true benchmark (Peakon)
  • Created BI team’s with skills to handle multiple task end to end.
  • Implemented new technology (R) on our on-premise platform, and we are in the process of implementing Power BI as a self-service tool in Cloud.
  • Has targeted our efforts, so that every action we take towards operation and performance optimizing on our platform are linked to our 10 largest challenges on the platform. As an outcome we increased the query performance on our SAS platform by 25%. We know our obligation and prioritizes our actions accordingly to our service level agreements (SLA).
  • • I have developed and implemented a scalable model for consulting services to our external customers. I turned the concept from case by case to a backlog driven approach where the customer where obligated by a fix number of hours, not tasks. The result was a faster time to market and higher customer satisfaction. The biggest client was SEB with 1.500+ hours.

  • • Created and implemented a new process for requisition of test resources across Nykredit, I introduced a minimum notice period and frozen zones. The frozen zones were timed in accordance with the workload from the lifecycle of leading and mortgage
