FLSmidth designs, constructs and deliver plants, machinery, services and spare parts for the mineral and cement industries. I work primarly in the cement industry.

Mechanical Field Engineer primarily at FLSmidth in Russia. The job was hands-on with focus on supervision of mechanical erection of industrial machines, alignment, maintenance, leadership and safety.

Portable Pilot Units, Birthing Aid Systems, Offshore and Quick Release Hooks are the four main areas.

I worked as Project Manager - Quick Release Hooks
(Quick release hooks are the basis of advanced integrated mooring system and ensure the vessel is secured fast to the jetty.)

Main responsibilities:
Project Management nationally and internationally. Inspection of hook stations at subcontractors in Bulgaria & China. Verifications of engineering calculations, development of quick release hooks, close cooperation with costumers.

During my time in Marimatech I was also in Nigeria to install the navigation system for oil tankers and tugs on USAN FPSO.

Offshore Technology Department - Dong Energy

Verified calculations for a new deck extension to ensure the chosen profiles would not fail. Calculated the natural frequency of a system to ensure no resonance would occur. Participated in internal courses; pump theory, accident causation & process course for engineers on shore. Was on the Siri platform in the North Sea and got a really good insight into how a production platform works.
