Intel Mobile Communications

I worked in the 'Security Group', which takes care of implementing and integrating software security solutions for embedded mobile systems within Intel Mobile Communications.
Specifically implementing runtime security solutions (e.g. RSA and ECC) into embedded mobile systems.

The last two years, I've been in charge of the build/test setup for the Security area, continuously upgrading, streamlining, simplifying and improving the build/test environment, to make the code robust to different OS's and different compilers, and adding sanitizers, warning levels and code coverage, keeping the different error and warning counts at a minimum, to avoid code degradation.

Furthermore, I have maintained and developed our local Security HARTS (Hardware Automatic Regression Test System) setup, based on Congatec machines as test nodes, HIL relay boards and the different XMM-development boards we in the group are responsible for, testing the security functionality on complete HW-systems, continuously and automatic.

The language used is C, and Perl/Python for scripting. The coding environment is mainly done on Linux machines, supported by Git/P4, Gerrit, Jenkins, Bullseye and Klocwork.

Samsung Electronics

Samsung took over the CSR Handset division October 2012.

Working with the Samsung mobile Exynos processors on the reference SMDK-C220 board (and other 'real' platforms), with special focus on integrating the Samsung connectivity chip (combined Wi-Fi and Bluetooth chip) into Android platforms. During this work, two trips to Samsung Digital City in Suwon, to assist our local collegues, took place as well, all in all 1.5 month in South Korea.

The last year has been focused on implementing test-tool applications in a combination of Python scripts running on a PC, interacting with an Android Application on the platform, testing the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi performance, both for the Samsung connectivity chip on test-platforms and our competitors solutions in production phones.

I'm the employee representative in the 'Health & Safety Committee' in the Samsung Denmark Research Center (SDRC) office.

CSR

Cambridge Silicon Radio.

I was involved in developing the upper layers of the CSR Bluetooth protocol stack (BCHS, Synergy) - mainly the large library of Profiles - providing a complete system software solution for embedded BlueCore applications.

Worked approximately 1.5 years integrating the CSR Bluetooth (chip and SW-stack) into the Mediatek platform for a lot of different customers, mainly Asian, working mainly with the MT6225, MT6235 and MT6238 processors.

After that, I worked approximately 1.5 years on integrating the CSR Bluetooth/Wifi (again chip and SW) onto the Intel XMM2230-platform, focussing mainly on AMP (Bluetooth 3.0 + High-Speed). Also played a bit with the smaller Intel XMM1100-platform.

During this platform integration work, I had the exciting possibility to visit customers and collegues all over the world, be it Singapore, Beijing, Shanghai, Taipei, Bangalore or Cambridge, almost always with a couple of weeks duration.

I was the employee representative in the 'Health & Safety Committee' in the CSR Denmark office.

The CSR handset division was bought by Samsung October 2012.

Aalborg University (AAU) Alumni Association - Kandidatnet

Being part of the very beginning of the Alumne organisation (before a dedicated 'Board' was actually established), I was the 'technical expert' in the 'web-group', giving input as to what is possible, how the web-MMI should be constructed and making sure the delivery and development of the portal was done in the way intended.

Motorola

Motorola took over TTPCom in August 2006.

Working with the software implementations of OMA DRM and OMA Download, as well as security Algorithms.

I was the employee representative in the 'Health & Safety Committee' in the Motorola TTPCom Product Group Denmark office.

TTPCom

I joined 'TTPCom Denmark' in Spring 2001 as the driving force in the Secure Download group.
Summer 2002 I was seconded to 'TTPCom Singapore' as Technical Support Engineer for 2.5 years, travelling the Asia region and giving technical support to our customers in South East Asia.
End of 2004 I returned to TTPCom Denmark, as the Teamleader for the 'Security and Download' group, which,among other technologies, included OMA DRM (Digital Rights Management), OMA DM (Device Management) and OMA DS (Data Synchronisation).
I was the employee representative in the 'Health & Safety Committee' in the TTPCom Denmark office.

OMA

I have attended the Open Mobile Alliance (OMA) Technical Plenary and Working Group meetings since the beginning of OMA in 2002.
In 2003, I was elected chairman of the OMA Game Services Working Group (reelected in 2005), and has hence actively been pushing the development of the new OMA Game Service enabler (Client/Server Interface (CSI) 1.0).

3GPP

I have played an active role in standardisation work for a number of years, and started my standardisation work by attending the two ETSI SMG workshops on Applications and Automatic Execution 1998-99, and has since attended all the 3GPP TSG-T WG2 meetings until 2003.

I was the representative for Bosch/Siemens/TTPCom in the T2-SWG1 MExE (Mobile Execution Environment) group, and have been actively involved in finishing the 3GPP 23.057 MExE specification releases 98, 99 and release 4, 5 and 6.

In 2001, I was furthermore elected chairman of the T2-SWG1 MExE group.

The 3GPP T2 activities have now been moved to OMA.

Siemens Mobile Phones

Siemens Mobile Phones took over Bosch Telecom around 2000, and continued making phones, among those I was involved in were the 'Siemens S40' and 'Siemens S42'.
I was the representative for the local group of union members at the Pandrup site in Siemens.

Bosch Telekom

Bosch Telecom took over Dancall around 1998, and we continued making mobile phones, for example 'Bosch 607' and 'Bosch World 718'.

Bought by 'Siemens Mobile Phones' in 2000.

Dancall

I was part of the team, that developed the softwareplatforms for the 'Dancall Easy' and the 'Dancall World' mobile phones.
The development took place on PCs and was in C.
I was responsible for, among other, the registration- and security modules, but have, in my 5 years at Dancall/Bosch/Siemens, touched almost all areas in mobile phone MMI and their applications.

Bought by 'Bosch Telecom' in 1998.

Infocom

I was part of the team, which developed and delivered two Stinger Missile Simulator Domes for the Danish Army (Air Defense Training System ADT 4000).
The software development took place on Unix platforms, the language was C++ and included analysis over design, implementation, testing and documentation.
I was among other things responsible for the calibration-, selftest-, errorhandling and flightsimulation modules.
Besides that, I developed parts of the MMI in X/Motif.
I was the representative for the R&D department in the works committee [samarbejdsudvalg].
