Copenhagen Architecture Forum
Who We Are:
We are Copenhagen Architecture Forum, a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness of how architecture shapes lives and worlds. Co-founded by Josephine Michau in 2014, we have been an active member of the European platform LINA since 2022, supported by Creative Europe. Our main supporters include the Municipality of Copenhagen, Realdania, and Statens Kunstfond.
What We Do:
Our activities include organizing an annual public program, primarily centered around our event and exhibition space at Halmtorvet 27, as well as the Copenhagen Architecture Biennial. Our role in the architectural sphere is to uphold infrastructures of exchange that connect people and knowledges across social, professional, cultural, and methodological boundaries.
Why We Do It:
We see architecture as a catalyst for building communities and a tool for promoting equality, justice, and planetary health. We believe in the importance of noticing and narrating the ways architecture relates to the issues people care about, and that these connections are many and far-reaching. We know that a broader understanding of architecture can inspire change, making it relevant to everyone—not just professionals.
