Biosafety Testing and Product Characterization Services

Sales to Pharma & Biotech in the Nordics

  • Building and developing long-term partnerships with new and existing clients
  • Generating sales of safety products and services
  • Day to day account management of the business
  • Field based commercial role in Denmark covering the Nordic region

The Challenge
Our client is the world’s largest provider of pharma and biopharma GMP manufacturing and biologics testing. The Senior Account Manager is responsible for the sales revenues and the position focuses on continuous sales growth through existing and new customers. Your focus will be on the Nordic region but several of the exciting customer Biopharmaceutical & Pharmaceutical will be in Denmark. You will drive the business forward within this territory.

Industry knowledge and appropriate sales skills are required to promote and sell in the territory to achieve or exceed the sales targets. You should be able to work remotely while proactively driving sales growth by being highly self-motivated, assertive and well organized, with excellent time management.

This will allow you, together with a very skilled team and support functions, to provide tailored and expert advise to customers and help them meet their objectives.

You will maintain the current business along with growing new opportunities by developing the market potential.

You grow the sales by acquiring new customers and leads, conducting market research, maintaining contact and up-selling to existing customers, renewing contracts, negotiating with the customer, setting up quotations, and deliver agreements/contracts.

You will be negotiating pricing and managing detailed contracts and agreements with customers. You will develop and maintain a broad and deep customer network at all levels with prospective customers and maintain relationships with existing ones. You will define strategic and tactical plans and deliver accurate business forecasts on a quarterly basis or as requested by management. This position will allow you to develop strong internal relationships within the global organization and coordinate these internal resources to address customers' needs. You will report to the Regional Manager EU south

Your Talent

You possess a winning personality, and you have a strong insight and knowledge of the Life Science segment in Denmark. You understand the culture and the mechanisms of the business, which is vital for the decision-making process in the market. You are a strong relationship builder with a high level of people understanding combined with education in the scientific field, preferably with specific knowledge within drug production processes.

You are able to use skillful questioning to draw out information for diagnosing a situation and anticipate areas of conflict, manage disagreement, and work towards a solution.

      • You have a Bachelor, Master, or equivalent degree preferably in Cell biology, Molecular Biology or related discipline
      • You have proven sales experience in the biotech industry
      • You enjoy playing an important commercial role in the market
      • You are good at developing the market on your own but also being part of a supportive team
      • You have minimum 5 years of directly related experience
      • You are proficient in Danish and English
      • You are preferably located in the capital region of Denmark
