The Company
°MEQU a Danish MedTech Start-up company placed in Copenhagen, manufactures the most effective portable blood and IV fluid warmer for use in emergency medical services and hospitals. °MEQU was founded in 2011 by Ulrik Krogh Andersen. The °M Warmer System was developed following a request from the Danish military to the Danish Technology University (DTU) to help prevent hypothermia and improve the survival and recovery rate of severely injured patients.

The °M Warmer System, CE marked in 2018 and FDA cleared in 2024, has a minimalistic and user-friendly design that reduces the risk of human errors and delays. Today the °M Warmer System is widely used by emergency services, hospitals, and military medics. °MEQU aims at making it possible to provide warm blood to any bleeding patient – regardless of where the injury takes place.

By using the °M Warmer, the chance of survival is increased, as infusion fluids and blood are heated to body temperature within seconds. The Challenge
Your role will be to focus on developing the distribution network to increase the international sales and market share focusing on Europe and the rest of the world, excluding US, the Nordic region and the Baltics.
The goal is to make the °M Warmer System available globally for the military, prehospital sector as well as inside hospitals.

It will be your responsibility as Business Development Manager Europe & APAC to analyse the markets and define and select the right strategy. You engage with distributors to contribute to strengthen °MEQU’s market position, develop and mature new markets and create a scalable platform for accelerating their growth.

General responsibilities and assignments, including - but not limited to:

  • Develop, strengthen and implement a strategy with focus on distributors
  • Screening of potential partners and on-going assessment
  • Actively support distributors with sales training, lead generation activities etc.
  • Responsible for contract generation, KPI´s, market analyses, activity plans, training etc.
  • Ensure that the ambitious targets are met for the distributors
  • Participate in relevant national and international conferences and exhibitions and actively seek to create relationships with important stakeholders
  • Market surveillance
  • Tender influencing and contract management
  • Identify new business opportunities

The position is based in Copenhagen. The role will require significant travel activity. You will report to the CCO, and you are offered great opportunities for both professional and personal development.

Your Talent
You have a relevant education within Business, Science/Engineering, Healthcare, Paramedic or Military Medic combined with commercial experience from a similar role preferably from the MedTech industry.

You take the initiative and develop opportunities to ensure success, you are dynamic and at the same time you are good at prioritizing by focusing on the right things. Your experience and ability to sell and build long term partnerships with your customers will be crucial for the development and growth of this position.

The preferred candidate will have the following profile:

  • International and commercial experience
  • Experience in identifying distributors and closing contracts in different markets
  • Experience in taking leadership to drive distributor sales projects by motivating and developing their engagement
  • Strong at building and strengthening relationships
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills at all levels in an organisation
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and self-driven
  • Ability to work independently and to take ownership and responsibility for delivery of agreed objectives and targets
  • Strong business acumen and commercial attitude
  • Informal and indirect leader capabilities
  • Structured approach to pipeline building and disciplined in relation to use of CRM platform
  • English, both oral and written at negotiation level is a must. Danish is not a requirement, but additional languages will of course be a plus
  • MS Office package (Word, Excel, Power Point, CRM)
