Technical Artists - All Levels
We are seeking Technical Artists of all levels and specializations to join Playdead’s team. We are looking for people who have technical experience working with Unreal Engine 5 and have strong problem solving skills.
As a Technical Artist at Playdead, your responsibilities would be to support the artists on the team with the more technical aspects of the art pipeline whilst collaborating closely with programmers to meet performance budgets and develop tools and pipelines for Unreal Engine 5. This could include creating either Blueprint, Python or C++ tools, asset management, pipeline development, automation, performance management, material development, auditing game content, and developing procedural systems using Houdini or PCG. Generally, this position would include assisting with all aspects of technical art for a large, third-person, open-world game. For all tasks that meet your experience of specialization, you will work closely with all relevant production departments at Playdead. We are particularly looking for a colleague who enjoys setting their own goals and taking responsibility for their own schedule, whilst collaborating well with others to solve collective tasks.
We are working within a highly focused and ambitious vision, which requires adapting to the existing visual style and also contributing your own ideas to the project. More than anything, we are looking for someone who is excited about all facets of game development.
This is a full time position at our studio in Copenhagen, Denmark so you need to be willing to relocate (we offer full relocation support).

- Supporting any other technical aspects of the art pipeline
Required Skills:
- Professional working experience with 3D game production

- Collaborates well with people of all levels and between departments
Additional skills of interest:
